ABOUT Angela

In 2011 after a career in music and having brought up five children, I decided to pursue a lifelong passion and studied at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh to become a gardener. I developed a gardening business where I tried to enhance the spaces I worked on. I would fill them with a mix of vegetables, fruit and flowering plants whenever the opportunity arose to bring joy and sustenance.

Since 2019 I have been assistant gardener and plant records officer at the Royal College of Physicians’ Garden of Medicinal Plants where I have been introduced to the amazing history of plants and their uses and been inspired to gain the Diploma in Herbology from the RBGE in 2023.

Alongside my work at the RCP, I now give herbal workshops to educate and enthuse others. I hope to bring them to a greater understanding of plants and how they enrich our lives.
